Background:
A small rural school serving the village of Shillingstone, with approximately 25 per cent of children coming from other areas by parental preference. Well supported by the local community, has an active parent teacher association and a committed and involved governing body. The staff, both teaching and supporting, are exceptionally hard working and committed to achieving high standards. Visitors, who are always welcome, comment on the calm, purposeful atmosphere of the school. The football team has been particularly successful during the 2000/2001 season and children are also enthusiastic participants in music and drama. The school aims to enable every child to reach his or her potential in a caring and supportive environment.
