Background:
Stower Provost Primary School was founded in 1850. Additions have been made to the original buildings over the past century and the old school house has now been converted into a library and computer suite. The school has 'large grounds' and include a conservation area, adventure playground and outdoor swimming pool, which is used in summer. The school'serves six villages. Pupils are offered a programme of residential trips as they progress through the school beginning with camping in the school grounds for Year 3 children. Year 6 pupils travel to France. Extra-curricular activities led by staff and parents include football, hockey, netball, chess and gardening. Children raise money for local and national charities.
