The school is a specialist language college, and provides a 30-booth digital language laboratory and video-conferencing facilities. All students learn French and then choose German, Japanese or Spanish. The school also holds the Royal Award for its work with the Save The Children Fund. Sir John Colfox School 'supports all students to reach their maximum possible attainment in examinations and to enjoy an educational experience, which builds personality'.
